Crystal opals opals with transparent or translucent bodies.  This pretty one one comes from Lightning Ridge in Australia.  I've set her on this silver textured pendant. The pendant and 18" chain are oxidised with highlights polished back.

Opal is one of October's birthstones and is connected to harmony & balance.
