It's only nearly flipping Christmas! On one hand it can be a beautiful and magical time. On the other, it can be the worst time of the year. It's all relative isn't it? I have mixed feelings about Christmas. We've had a couple of really grim ones only a few years back The reasons don't matter; loneliness, poverty, poor mental health, relationships, all of them can make what should be a time of warmth feel extra harsh. However, it's important to keep a sense of perspective. Now more than ever we need love. If we've got enough, give something to someone who doesn't. If you have love to spare, chuck it about it a bit. There are a ton of ways to send ripples out to make a difference.
Tiny acts of kindness, for no particular reason is something that can make us, and the recipient, feel a bit warm and fuzzy. A family close to us is collating a whole raft of them. My beautiful friends, the Allebons' son Logan was diagnosed with cancer in August and passed away in October 2018. He was just past his fourth birthday. In a way that says everything about them as humans, the Allebons started a 'Love from Logan' campaign to send ripples of love out to others. From giving something you no longer need to someone who needs it, to raising money for charity, to baking for a neighbour, to giving a lift or carrying someone's shopping for them or a billion other things. The only request to the recipient is they pass on a random act of kindness themselves. It doesn't have to cost anything to make a difference. It's a lovely idea, and if you'd like to help spread some good news, please tell your RAOK stories on the Love From Logan Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/lovefromlogan2014/ or tag them #lovefromlogan on instagram
With that in mind, I'd like to give you the chance to 'drop a Love Bomb' on someone who needs it! I'll send it anywhere I can (unfortunately it's currently prohibited to send jewellery to Australia from the UK).
You can choose earrings or necklace, and the finish you'd like. All you need to do is email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with the name and address of the person you'd like to send it to. I'll pick an entry at random on 8pm on Weds December 18th, so I can get it in the post by the end of this week. I'll email the winner as soon as it's drawn. If everyone who entered did a RAOK, that would be fabulous!
I hope you have the best Christmas you possibly can, have a virtual bear-hug from me.
